When she was younger, she would come home from school to watch A Baby Story and was always eager to help when there was a new baby around. She attended her first birth and began providing lactation support in 2013. She’s experienced birth firsthand with her four children. Her homebirth cesarean and three VBAC’s, showed that each birth is different and emphasized the immense value of emotional and physical support during our pregnancy and postpartum experiences. New Earth Rising was founded in 2017, when she realized the need for birth support and knowledge for families in our community. In her day to day, she enjoys spending her time with her little one’s—baking, filling their bellies at the farmer’s market, exploring, crafting, dancing, and manifesting their best life. She also carries a passion for dream work, and loves creating space to explore the powerful unconscious realm! Training and Education: Ashley holds an Associate Degree in Liberal Studies from the Community College of Vermont with emphasis on Nutrition, Psychology, and Human Development. She also has a Bachelor's of Arts Degree in Health Arts & Sciences from Goddard College with emphasis on Ayurveda, Women’s Studies, Nutrition, Lactation, and Public Health. She’s a trained Labor and Postpartum Doula, and Childbirth Educator through Birth Arts International (a premier holistic training organization.)
